Spring 2026 (March, April, May)

“Follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace”    March 2026

(Continuing from my previous quarterly news…) I stayed in the building in Ibusuki City down in southern Japan (that God enabled me to buy several years ago), until the last day of February, daily doing outdoor evangelism. A few children and teenagers gave ear to me, listening to me, and talking with me. It was evident that the Holy Spirit is working in their hearts. Peer pressure, parent and school teacher pressure, is so great on them, pressuring them to ignore me. Please pray with me, for God to set them free from all that binds them and holds them back from coming to Jesus Christ.

Also, that area of southern Japan was experiencing somewhat of a drought while I was there. One important river and lake just about completely dried up. I think that was the first time, that was ever known to happen. Perilous times are steadily becoming more and more perilous. “Even so, come, Lord Jesus”.

I held forth the word of life there in the mild climate of southern Japan till the last day of February, when I rode the trains northeast to Mino Mission to preach in their churches March 1st, 4th and 5th. Then, on Sunday morning, March 8th, I preached in Japanese at the 10 AM service & in English at the 11 AM service in Missionary Pastor Jeff Brigham’s Hope Baptist Church in Anjo City, not so far from Mino Mission. Then, that afternoon, I rode the bullet trains on back to my main residence in Matsuida Town, Gunma Prefecture.

Thru out March, as spring budded, bloomed, and blossomed out ever so beautifully here in central, rural Japan, I stayed out amongst that lovely nature as often as I could, doing outdoor evangelism, lifting up my voice in singing and preaching, and walking from door to door, leaving a salvation tract. Such rich Joy it was.

“…Woe unto us, that we have sinned…”     April 2026

The following 2 Scriptures are each essentially the same brief 3-point outline of the fallen human race’s constant downward slide into Hell. and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.” (Exodus 32:6, their golden molten calf sin) “Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.” (1st Kings 4:20, God’s chosen nation, at the beginning of King Solomon’s reign, upon gaining peace and respite from constant earthly war.) Throughout the history of the present Laodicean church age, Christ’s church militant has steadily ceased doing spiritual battle, tho the enemy has steadily intensified his battle of abominable evil. Instead of doing spiritual warfare as good soldiers of Christ, presently, the lukewarm Laodicean Church has sat down to eat and drink, and has risen up to play and make merry. Fellow Christian Soldier, please stay on the Firing Line in the Spiritual Battle, I urge you.

The book of Lamentations vividly records the intense suffering and death that God brought upon reprobate Israel, until their prophet cries out as spokesman for the entire nation; “…woe unto us, that we have sinned…” (Lamentations. 5:16) We lukewarm Laodicean Church folks, who desire to avoid being spued out of our Lord’s Mouth, should earnestly and honestly confess the same unto our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. And with Almighty God as our Helper, endeavor to be an Overcomer.

Early on Friday morning April 10th, I drove over to Nishi Yokono Grammar School, about a mile from my house, to sing near the school gate as the kids walked thru it. A young man teacher came out from the school to greet me kindly. Such kindness on the part of school teachers here is rare. Most of them loathe me coming near their schools. This young teacher told me that he had recently come to this school at the start of this month of April, which is the start of the new school year here in Japan. He said that when he was a boy in grammar school here in Matsuida Town (in rural Sakamoto Grammar that has closed down and merged their kids into Matsuida Grammar School), that he attended my services for children in Sakamoto Community Hall. By God’s Great Grace, I’ve been preaching Christ in Matsuida Town since October 1977. I pray for God to give a harvest of several generations of souls. You please intercede for many to be saved. I greatly appreciate your prayers.

I am writing this on April 29th. This morning, I opened my Rescue Mission in Karuizawa Town. It is also a Recycle Shop, with unbelievably cheap prices on used clothes, dishes, and such, which draws people in. It is located in a small storefront. I am seeking God’s Will about renting an additional store space. The adjacent store space was vacated at the end of last year, and is now for rent. I like the convenience of it being next door, as I can watch both shops myself. God has provided me with funds to pay an entire year’s rent in advance. Even if I pay in full in advance, the owner still requires a guarantor to co-sign with me. If it be God’s Will that I rent it, please pray that some friend will be willing to co-sign the lease contract with me.

With grocery and gasoline costs steadily increasing, low-income people are increasingly buying the common use recycle items I sell dirt cheap. Also, Bibles, Christian literature and such are displayed, free for the taking. Moreover, in the shop, I broadcast the Gospel on an audio player, which goes into the ears of all who come in. Some low-income families in Japan are now struggling to put enough food on their tables to fill the family’s stomachs. That is drawing them to my cheap recycle goods. These people tend to have an humbler heart than folks who are rich, increased with goods, and have need of nothing. May God give them ears to hear the Gospel.

“…Lord, hear my voice…”           May 2026

April 29 thru May 6 is annual Golden Week in Japan. This year, many Japanese people came to Fun Town Karuizawa where I was manning my Rescue Mission. I spoke and sang Bible truth to the stream of Buddhist souls flowing past my storefront. A few came in and took free Christian books, pamphlets, tracts, and such. Please pray with me, for the Holy Spirit to work powerfully in their hearts. Also, among them I met some Japanese Christians for the first time.

In my previous (April) news, I asked you to pray about me renting the vacant storefront adjacent to my Rescue Mission. A Christian friend agreed to co-sign as guarantor on the annual lease agreement, because a guarantor is required. Present plans are for me to receive a 1-year lease on June 1st.

Please pray that God will be greatly glorified in this building that has more than 60 feet of frontage along busy Tennis Court Lane. Lord willing, I will display Bibles and meaty Christian literature free for the taking, and broadcast preaching, hymn singing, and praying inside that building. God richly bless you who support me financially, that makes this possible. I greatly appreciate your loving help. God be with you to protect you and all your family.
